Dance Vault: “Something” by Drake Choreo by Joseph Ling Feat. Nameless Dance Crew

This came off as a perfect mesh the intricate motion and flow of Mr. Joseph Ling and another banger lifted from that “set a new presedent” in mixtape the history of “mixtape-adom” lol. A perfect marriage of music and movement, what else can you ask for? It totally looks like this relationship from what I’ve seen is built to last and is well worth going back into the Dance Vault. In this set Joseph includes two other dancers I believe from the Nameless Dance Crew on Drizzy’s “Something” demonstrating the fluid steps and snaps making even the slowest groove a slow groove manifestation of point on point with a little domino effect flow on the dance surface. Comes across totally effortless.

Joe Ling’s Choreography Asks Jhene Aiko “Is It Real?”

Here’s conceptually fresh choreography and direction called “Is It Real?” from the kid Joe Ling at Auckland October 2011. Fluid has always been Mr.Ling’s forte and he doesn’t disappoint on a track just as fluid from Jhene Aiko featuring H.O.P.E., Lite and Roosevelt called “Is It Real Now” from the Mixtape “Sailing Soul(s)” (Which was reviewed by G Style Magazine’s own TeeJay so peep it).

The premise of the piece is it’s a house party where each partygoer interacts with each other throughout the party challenging the realness in their own lives while just touching the surface of the true personalities and character of acquaintances when meeting new people. The dancers and the performance are on point including Joe Ling, Alicia Li, Sarah Fry, Shalom Leilua, Sophie Journee, Jacob Cook, Jacob Yarr, Jordan Vaha’akolo and Jun Sawada. Videography by Kelly Moynihan along with Editing & DVD by www.archipela.co.nz. If you enjoy smooth dance choreography you’ll enjoy this one. Uno!
